~What Can I Do In A Swamp?~ ~Boat Tour: This is one of the best ways to see the park. Your boat trip will take you a mile and a half round trip (20
minute tour) into the Seminole Indian waterways. Your guide will be a wealth of information about the Okefenokee. ~Okefenokee Railroad Tour: Another great way to see the swamp, aboard the
"Lady Suwanee". This guided tour will take you one and a half miles on the edge of the wetlands and stop at Pioneer Island for a look at the recreated homesteads, Wildes Cabin Museum,
animals and the new Country Store. ~"Eye On Nature": This is a favorite part to everyone's visit!! Here you will get up close and personal with some of the parks larger alligators and
snakes as well as get a glimpse of our resident otters. ~ What About...~ Q: How many people can you accommodate? A: We can handle ANY size group!
Q: Is this tour on our own or will we have a guide? A: For the most part you will be on your own, but the boat and train tours are guided. We will take the guess work out of "where do I need
to be and when" by scheduling the events that need to be scheduled (boat tour, train tour and wildlife show). It will include times for the gift shop, meals and bathroom breaks. If you have any
special needs we will accommodate you the best way we can. In order for things to go smoothly for you and the park we request at least one chaperone per ten children. We will extend
complimentary passes to the one chaperone per ten children. Chaperones will be with their kids at ALL times (in the park, gift shop and country store) to ensure respectful behavior to our animals and
other guest. Q: How can our kids remember their trip? A: Help your group remember their special trip with a trip to our gift shop!
Q: What about feeding the hungry bunch? A: Lunch time meals can be arranged by the parks food provider - Snack Bar.
Q: The school will provide the meal, but where can we eat? A: We have improved picnic areas (screened in shelters) with rest room facilties avaiable. We do not charge for these facilities,
but ask that you clean up after yourself. If you want to use these shelters we will need to know what time you want to eat. Other groups may be here on the same day so we need to make sure the area
is available. Q: Will we need bug spray or sunscreen? A: Most of the time here in Georgia you will need one or the other, if not both. Some months like October thru February, you're safe, but
bring them just in case! It's better to be safe than sorry. ~What To Do Now~ If you are ready to book a tour or just need to get more specific information, just
