We consider groups to be 12 or more people. Advance reservations are required – the more the better. Reservations can be made 7 days a week from 9AM to 5 PM. Please have following information when you call:
- Name of Group
- Time of Arrival
- Approximate number of guests
- Phone and Fax numbers
- Time you need to leave
- If you will need time for lunch.
After you submit the form online, someone from our office will be in contact with you to confirm your tour group reservation. Your professional tour operator reservation is not finalized until you receive confirmation from our park.
Need Lunch :
We have picnic tables available on a first come, first served basis. The Snack Shack is our food service provider and can have lunch ready for you when you need it. Please contact Randy and Shawn Scoville at 912-816-2553 or email@example.com. Their services are contracted and paid for separately from the Park’s fee.
If you are bringing a school group, we require one chaperon per ten children. Those chaperons will be complimentary. Any others will be charged. Escort and driver are complimentary. Please allow 3 to 4 hours to see and do it all. We will create the schedule for you so you’ll know who needs to be where and when. Once you receive your confirmation letter please read it carefully. If something is not correct, contact us as soon as possible. Should you need to cancel, please allow us one day advance notice.
We do not require a deposit; however, payment is due on the day you arrive.
What do we offer?
General admission includes the walking tour which is done “ on you own “. We have exhibit buildings that show who, what, where, when, why, and how of the swamp. There are animal habitats and boardwalks. The guided railroad tour will take you 1.5 miles on the edge of the wetlands and stops on Pioneer Island. You may tour the island, view a re-created homestead and the Wilde’s Cabin Museum. Our “ Eye on Nature” program is a live show that allows you to get up close and personal with some of the snakes and gators.
The boat package includes all the above and a 20 minute boat tour. These tours are guided and offer the best way to see our eco-system in action. The guides will point out various plants and give some history of the swamp.
